On the Show:

–Are all websites and video channels created the same? In a GOP organized hearing, the FCC wants to impose some restrictions to help preserve net neutrality, but republicans are against these rules. Fred Upton, a republican against the FCC’s rulings, is being funded by Comcast, AT&T, Verizon, and is taking part in the hearing despite his bias.

–Journalist Lara Logan was sexually assaulted in Egypt, and CBS had no plans to go public with the story. The people attacking her were reportedly yelling ‘Jew, Jew, Jew,’ also not being reported. In a picture, CNN blurred the faces of everyone surrounding the victim, but they didn’t blur the actual victim’s face. Stories about violence in the crowd in Egypt appear to be being covered up.

–Jackson Katz, author and anti-sexist activist, joins us in studio discuss a number of topics involving the gender politics of American elections and news reporting.

— Sir Darryl worked David’s name into a phone call during his show, and it is hilarious.

— Protests in Wisconsin against Scott Walker for his union ideas are attacks against Democrats, at their core, and against working people.

–Attacks on women also continue from the Republican Party, including rape redefinitions, healthcare, access to legal and safe abortions, and the flopped South Dakota proposal to allow the murder of abortion doctors.

— People are trying to put planned parenthood out of business, despite the fact that millions of women will be put in danger because of it – people should think more about life after birth. People who are pro-life want it to be illegal for hospitals to provide emergency abortions, even when the woman’s life is in danger. Why are senators and congressmen, instead of doctors and patients, making choices about people’s medical care?

— Obama is saying that by 2015 there will no longer be a deficit, meaning we will not be adding more to the national debt. But interest will continue, meaning the debt will still grow. Republicans aren’t mentioning that debt exploded under George Bush, but are blaming everything on Obama. Extending Bush’s tax cuts under Obama was a compromise in which Obama gained nothing politically, and we are seeing that now.

–Emails about Ron Paul, 2012 Republican primary election, autism vaccine connection hoax, Sarah Palin speeches for sale, and more.

–On the Bonus Show: David tells a story of a scam he was involved in years ago, IBM computer Watson wins at Jeopardy, an Apple supplier has terrible work conditions, Louis’ bar habits, and more.
